Facility Registration

The Purpose of This Website

Anticipating the large number of visitors to Nagoya for various events such as the Asian Games and Asian Para Games, this Site was launched to provide information on barrier-free facilities in the city, so that anyone can go out without worry.
The City of Nagoya is promoting "Barrier-Free Awareness". Eligibility includes not only facilities that are barrier-free in terms of equipment, but also those that are barrier-free in terms of attitude. We encourage you to apply for this designation.

Recruited Facilities

Currently Accepting Applications

We are currently taking applications for lodgings (the number of eligible facilities will be expanded gradually to include tourist facilities and restaurants).

Application Requirements

Facilities in Nagoya City are eligible. However, the following facilities must not apply.

  • Facilities that may damage the public nature, neutrality, or dignity of this Site.
  • Facilities engaged in political or religious activities, opinion advertisements, or individual and/or corporate marketing.
  • Facilities stipulated in the Act on Control and Improvement of Amusement and Entertainment Businesses, etc.
  • Facilities that may offend public order and morals
  • Facilities that violate laws and regulations
  • (Accommodations only) Those facilities falling under the category of "simple lodging" or "boarding and lodging" businesses as stipulated by the Ryokan Business Law.
  • Other facilities deemed inappropriate by the Mayor of Nagoya

Application Process

1 Submit Applications to the Executive Office

Applications are accepted by mail, fax, or e-mail (for office contact information, see "Where to Apply").
If you are able to submit photo data, such as exterior photos, please send them via e-mail. Please refrain from submitting photos that may be used to identify individuals.
Please download the form from the City's official website.

2 Field Survey

About two staff members from the executive office, including those with disabilities, will visit the site to confirm the contents of the application documents. If there is no problem, we will also take photos for posting on our Site.

3 Confirmation of the Posted Image

The applicant will be asked to confirm the images of the facility, which will also reflect the contents of the field survey.
After steps 1-3 above are completed, the images will be posted. The posting will be made at the next update of this Site (several times a month).

Other Notes on Applications

  • If you are a restaurant within a lodging facility, we apologize for the inconvenience, but please apply after we begin accepting applications for that type of facility (e.g., "eating or drinking establishment").
  • If the size of the data submission is large (more than 5 MB), please use the file transfer system. For details, please refer to Nagoya City's official website.
